They are just celebrating their year anniversary as of April, 2012. I just made it over here for my first visit and what a great find. They have a really comfortable and pleasant space with both indoor and outdoor seating and there's something about the way the air drifts through and the counter seating and open kitchen that make it especially relaxing.

It was a tough call deciding what to get. My first pass through I just got a smoothie that was very light and fresh. The second time I came for a proper meal and everything that arrived at the table was delicious including the Seitan Chimichurri, Tofu Scramble and Taco special of the day which had guacamole, greens, salsa and ground seitan though I have to give a special shout-out to my Canelones de Verdura which were made with cashew and spinach wrapped in dough and covered with tomato sauce and a little bit of nutritional yeast. I'm gonna be thinking about that one until I eat it again for sure.

Everybody was amazingly friendly even the other guests and I suppose that openness of the space and the great food makes people feel chatty. Oh, and the cute cat out back didn't hurt matters one bit! Thanks Mi Vida cafe, wishing you many more happy anniversaries!
