So it was written:

Excellent Thai food with numerous vegetarian options. Most dishes have versions with tofu or with vegetarian (soy) duck. They serve meat too so ask questions to make sure about ingredients. The reviews on Yelp are typically brutal and admittedly I haven't been here for a while, but there was a time I ate there regularly and the vegetarian dishes and mock duck were always really good to me. They had a couple of noodle dishes they'd make with mock duck that I especially loved and had trouble finding elsewhere. I went with one non-vegan friend in particular who never gave it anything close to the sort of bad reviews I see on Yelp now. It's too bad really, plus they're probably having a tough time with the Second Ave subway line construction blocking off their whole sidewalk. There are a lot of pure veg options in this neighborhood but if you live up here and want variety, or rather if I lived up there and wanted variety, I'd still visit Viang Ping once in a while. We'll see if they manage to stick around.
